“Branches fall and tangle with the ones below, gently swinging in the air. I felt a kind of beauty, within the fragile balance a coincidence can create.

My interest towards this kind of beauty gave birth to the “in the sky", an object which shall frame the space with richness."

As a metaphor of limited time, I place my wishes that these silent objects give birth to, a special bond, or a subtle richness, and a new story or value.

This is a 33/33/33 project, where the designer and manufacturer constructing all the components, and the consumer assembling the chair at home, are equally involved in the completion of the piece.

People used to be much more resourceful, but nowadays we have become lazy, less confident, or even lost the practical knowledge entirely.

This is very sad. I would like to encourage people to re-discover their ability for building furniture and regain the confidence to work with tools.

Giving the consumer a certain volume of responsibility, is for them to regain confidence. “third" is a project reflecting these ideas.

If one does not know how the object in front of him/her functions,
he/she has to imagine how to use it. I decided to create something with a function that is not immediately obvious. In order to make this new object, I chose to use the form of a book, something with which everyone is familiar.

By altering the steps of the bookmaking process, the object becomes something different to what we recognize as a book. It becomes an object with a function that is hard to grasp.

A bucket has a hole which won’t fill up with water but to look into the world. The position of a handle is unbalance which makes me find ways to deal with.

Through my behavior of searching, I understand the balance of the world.

I made a crayon from the mold.

A piper in a colorful costume led 130 children out of Hamelin.

They all disappeared at the execution site near Koppen.

Two cultures are fused together by the serene act of pouring.

A shared history of brewed leaves, of porcelain, of the intricacy and intimacy of the tea ceremony.

A moment of calm that crosses continents to find reassuring shape.

Space and objects when you start thinking of these two it is surprisingly interesting.

And when those objects are unleashed from function and utility the atmosphere and your imagination shall be freed.

IMG_4166 ♠ Life on Foot

…that allows us to show the world who we would like to be.
